Backing PagarBook: Digitizing India’s Deskless Workforce
India’s 250M+ blue- and grey-collar workforce is the engine behind the country’s $10B+ SMB economy—yet remains largely untouched by technology. At Triton, we’re excited to partner with PagarBook, a company redefining workforce productivity & engagement for this critical segment.
Why We Invested
PagarBook is a mobile-first, affordable Human Capital Management & Engagement platform designed for India’s 65M SMBs—especially the 4.5M+ businesses with 5–100 employees. It offers a full suite of tools including attendance, payroll automation, field tracking, task management, and others in pipeline purpose-built for Bharat.
What stood out for us:
-
- Strong Product-Market Fit: 25K+ paying businesses, 850K+ workers onboarded
- Pricing that Scales: ₹800–3500 per employee annually
- Founders with Deep Context: Built by a team with ground-level insights and execution experience
- Large Market: ~₹970B opportunity with low tech penetration
Growth Momentum
PagarBook is not just maintaining momentum—it’s accelerating it. Monthly bookings have grown 35% YoY, ACVs are up 45%, and renewal rates have improved significantly in the last 12 months. Bookings have grown at 75% CAGR over the last 3 years to close FY25 at ₹51Cr.
What excites us most: within 12 months of launching its Geo module (for field tracking), the company has seen 10% of its base adopt it, contributing ~20% to monthly bookings. This validates its value-added modules strategy, with several more modules in the pipeline.
Our Thesis
PagarBook sits at the intersection of three strong tailwinds:
- The digitization of India’s deskless economy
- The rise of SaaS for Bharat
- Data-driven monetization of workforce behavior
With a robust distribution engine and strong unit economics, we believe PagarBook is building the operating system for SME workforce management in India.
